Find out about our operational excellence and innovation initiatives
Malteries Soufflet has always been attentive to new technologies and the efficiency of its organisation, in a quest for continuous improvement and optimum customer satisfaction. The innovation we bring about involves integrating new technologies into our processes and building high-performance, environmentally-friendly production sites.
Integrating state-of-the-art technology into our processes
We are forward-thinking in our DNA and are committed to using the most advanced equipment to offer our customers exceptional malts. In addition, a dedicated team is responsible for monitoring new technologies on the market and in other business sectors to assess whether they can be transposed into our business. These technologies are tested for their potential deployment in our malting processes, with the aim of continuously improving our industrial performance and the environmental impact of our activities. Recently, the teams have integrated artificial intelligence to increase the consistency of the malting recipes. Other research has led us to evaluate the potential of acoustics and infra-red in our equipment.
Building modern and efficient malting plants, real know-how
Over the decades, we have acquired remarkable know-how in the construction and modernisation of our industrial sites. This knowledge is the result of 70 years of malting experience combined with the skills of our engineering teams, experts in industrial processes, and the entire production team. Today, Malteries Soufflet has 28 malting plants in Europe, Latin America, Asia and, more recently, in Africa.
The sites built from the 2000s onwards have been designed with the best technologies to meet high standards. The latest construction in Ethiopia is an example of our ability to use the latest technologies to improve industrial performance. This quest for optimisation also covers the environmental impact. Reducing energy and water consumption and lowering our carbon footprint are key priorities to achieving our ambitious sustainability goals.
